Hoping for a Trip to the Winner’s Circle
We are part owners of two horses that will be racing tomorrow at the Penn National Race Course (pictured above). Being able to participate in this way in the Thoroughbred Industry is a real dream and a trip to the winner’s circle is about as good as it gets. That and being the sole holder of a large Pick 6 ticket. Wish us luck! I hope to be back tomorrow with pictures of the two horses in action!
Due to the impending storm #Nemo there will be no racing at #Aqueduct today (nor tomorrow likely) turning all eyes south and west, where there will be good racing at Gulfstream Park, Tampa Bay Downs, Santa Anita, and Oaklawn. And for all of those in the Northeast in the path of the storm, be safe!
Here’s a great shot from Canterbury Park in Minnesota. Its up on our Thoroughbred Racing Pinterest page #CanterburyPark #horseracing

Good clean family fun at the #Aqueduct racetrack. Here are a few pictures of the boys.
Here are a few shots of #Vyjack, the #DerbyProspect who won the Jerome Stakes at Aqueduct today, as he leaves the paddock and heads towards the track. Vyjack was a huge favorite and he delivered, though it was by a nose in a photo finish. Still a graded stakes victory is a huge step in this superstar horse’s run for the roses.
And here’s the 8 year-old in the sulky at the Meadowlands Racetrack.
Here’s the 12 year old studying his PPs at the Meadowlands Racetrack.
We had a great outing to the Meadowlands Racetrack in New Jersey tonight. Thursdays during the Winter meet are free and the beers are $2 and popcorn is $1, which was a hit with the boys. The management reported that the $1.84 million handle from the first night (December 28th) represented a 6% increase over the opening night last year. I hope this is a sign that the track is in store for a great season. The Morrells are fans.
